The objective of this analysis is to investigate how social media analytics and in particular Twitter data can be used by policymakers to support them in terms of policy intelligence, problem identification and monitoring. To demonstrate some of the possibilities, this report provides a test case for two industries, notably automotive and chemicals and it zooms into two technological fields notably Artificial Intelligence and green technologies. These technologies were selected based on their suitability to gather Twitter data.
